Tournaments - Sanctioning

This guide will show you how to sanction tournaments within the competition portal.

Sanctioning Tournaments


To sanction a tournament, sign in to competitions.thefa.com with your usual email address and FA password and select the competitions tab on the left and then add division.


To begin the process of sanctioning your tournaments you will need to go the Competition tab on the left then select Sanctioning, you will then need to select the tournament you want to be sanctioned then finish off with selecting Sanction Competition on the right hand side. 



This will then bring up the page where you will need to fill out the relevant details ( Key Officials, FA Policies & Documentation, Review Rules, Insurance) 


Key officials

Firstly, you will need to make sure you have the right key officials in place. You will be able to change their roles in the officials tab on the left hand side if needed. If you would like to view the Key Officials, you can do this by selecting view. 


 

FA Policies & Documentation

Scrolling down you will then find the FA Policies & Documentation. where you have to upload the Safeguarding Declarations and Risk Assessments these are a requirement however, the accounts, AGM minutes and Team Uploads are optional 


The boxes will then turn from red ' You are required to upload a copy' to green and it saying complete. 



Safeguarding Declarations


The Safeguarding Declarations you must review them by selecting Review.


 It will then take you to the My Org tab on the left hand side, under Documentations and Safeguarding Declarations. You will then need to press the Adopt button on the left hand side. 


- You can also use the box at the bottom to take you back to reviewing your sanctioning submission. 


 


Please view the document and then Accept that you have read it. 


You will then be able to download the document ( downwards arrow )  and and readopt ( clockward arrow ) but using the buttons on the left hand side. 



Risk Assessments


Once you have clicked upload, it will take you to the My Org tab on the left within the tabs Documentation and Risk Assessment you will be able to upload your file ( PNG, JPG, JPEG, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PDF) by clicking on Browse in the middle of the page. 




After your document has been uploaded you will be able to delete ( Bin icon ) and download it ( Down arrow ).



Review Rules


The next section you will need to fill out is the Review Rules, please upload a document using the upload button.


Once you have clicked upload, it will take you to the My Org tab on the left within the tabs Documentation and Competition Rules you will be able to upload your file ( PNG, JPG, JPEG, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PDF) by clicking on Browse in the middle of the page. 



After your document has been uploaded you will be able to delete (Bin icon) and download it (Down arrow).



Insurance


Insurance is also optional and you can either Purchase it upload your own. 


Finally at the bottom you need to make sure you have checked the box before you select Proceed to Summary. 


You will then be taken to this page, where you will be able to submit your application to the County FA for review. 


You will then be asked if you would like to confirm or cancel the application.
