Do I need a DBS to be involved in youth football?

Modified on Wed, 11 Mar at 10:36 AM

If you have regular contact with under 18 players as a Coach, Manager, Club Welfare Officer, First Aider or Referee you are required to have a valid DBS that is registered on the FA’s Whole Game System

This is complete on the club portal portal please get in contact with your club. If you are a referee you will need to contact the county FA

If you are a Club Committee Member who has an administrative role only you would not be required to complete a DBS. If you are a parent, who for example, occasionally assists in being an Assistant Referee you would not be required to complete a DBS.
