I am a new club and want to play in a league, what do I need to do?

In order to play “Sanctioned Football” (any League/Cup and/or Friendly fixture that uses Lancashire FA registered match officials) the club will need to become affiliated to Lancashire FA,

An affiliation with us is best described as a membership, a pre-requisite of this membership is that the club has the necessary insurances in place, and in the case of youth teams, a full safeguarding check of club officials.

The reasoning behind this is so that you are assured by playing in sanctioned football, you are playing against other teams who also have had to provide proof of insurances, and safeguarding checks in the case of youth teams. The affiliation offers protection to all those involved.

Once you have completed the affiliation process, you are given an affiliation number. The affiliation number lasts until the end of the season (30th June) Your affiliation needs to be renewed each season.

Any club wishing to play sanctioned football from 1st July will need an affiliation number for the new season (applications are usually accepted from 1st May)

If you are happy to go ahead, then please email the following information to info@LancashireFA.Com

Club Name

Club Secretary

Address

Tel

Email

DOB

FAN (if known)

Once we have this information, we can create your club on our affiliation database. We will give you login details to a website called Whole Game System (WGS), where you can then submit your clubs affiliation application to us for review.

Once approved you can then use the WGS to register players, manage discipline etc.
